Guineas Breeze Up Sale Review

Brickfield Equine had six two-year-olds for sale at the recent Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale in Newmarket on 29th and 30th April.

Of the six, four sold and two came back home with us, so it was a mixed result sale for us.

We are delighted that our lovely Awtaad/Alice Rose filly went to Sir Mark Todd. She’s a lovely individual – one to watch in the future and I’m sure he will do really well with her.

The Kodi Bear/Silk Affair colt sold to Evan Williams and will make a nice dual purpose horse.

Our gorgeous looking El Kabeir/Leenavesta colt sold to Saudi interests and we wish his new Owners all the best with him – he’s another lovely, scopey horse with a big future.

Of the two that came home with us, the Kodi Bear/Katherine Lee colt has gone into training with new Trainer Alice Haynes and she will put him in a Barrier Trial in the next couple of weeks.

The Cityscape/Blue Lyric filly sold privately, also to Arab interests, after the Sale and has gone into training with new up-and-coming Newmarket Trainer George Boughey. She’s a lovely filly – we wish him all the best with her.

The Kodi Bear/Katherine Lee colt is still for sale via private purchase. Get in touch if you would like any further details.

I’d like to thank my staff who worked so hard over the last few months, from breaking the breezers in right up to working at the Sales last week. Thanks to Sean Huggan, Kim Bilton, Victoria Frost and Abel O’Gorman and all our part-time staff.
