Rosettes galore at Houghton Hall International Horse Trials

What a weekend it was for the Brickfield Equine and Soham and District Pony Club teams at Saracen Horse Feeds Houghton Hall International Horse Trials from Friday 28th to Sunday, 30th May, 2021.

On Friday, Ewald and Ryan de Sousa won the Gate Challenge and Issabella Evers was 3rd on Black Eye Pea, while Bramblebrough Eoghan got 4th place – this wonderful Connemara pony is FOR SALE at a new reduced price.

Ryan de Sousa was second in the British Novice and 3rd in the Newcomers on Ballylerk Lucky.

In the 1m Open Ryan was 1st on Ewald, 2nd on Bramblebrough Eoghan and 3rd on Mighty Mouse.

Victoria de Sousa and Tango de Kergan were 3rd in the 95cm.

Saturday was an equally successful day with
Ryan winning the 105m on Tango de Kergan and 2nd in the 110m Open.

Amy Stone and Hyancinth DHI (also FOR SALE)  won the 1.10m class impressively. The pair later went on to get 2nd in the 120m.

Ryan also won the British Novice and Discovery classes on Ballerylerk lucky.

He won the 1m class on Bramblebrough Eoghan with a very fast time and was 2nd in the 1.10cm on Mighty Mouse and 4th on Bramblebrough Eoghan.

The successes continued on Sunday as Ryan and Tango de Kergan won the 105m Speed class. They were first to go out of 30 competitors and stayed in lead to
secure the win.

Soham and District Pony Club team of Harriet Froud, Alanna Harris, Issabella Evers and Ryan de Sousa won the Pony Club 90cm Teams class.

Ryan won it individually and Isabella was 2nd and another very exciting jump off.

The team were also fifth in the 1m, with Isabella winning individual.

It was a hugely successful weekend and lots of fun was had by all.
