Wales and West Home Pony Show
What a super week the Brickfield Equine team had at the Wales And West Show from 27th – 30th July.
The Welsh Home Pony show was held at the beautiful David Broome Event Centre in Chepstow with some fantastic events, hilarious classes and glorious weather, it was a week to remember.
Ryan de Sousa and Hyacinth DHI had a lovely clean round to finish fifth in the 1.05cm on day one, Monday 27th July, and the pair teamed up again the following day with a super round to finish 5th in the 1.15cm.
Cian Murphy and Rincoolo Rolo had an unfortunate 4 faults in the 1.15cm Young Riders, but otherwise a great round and they finished XX.
Alanna Harris and Machno Gem Edition went clear in their first Newcomers together – there’s a bright future ahead for these two.
The best class of the week by far, was the Ride And Run with Ryan de Sousa and Swanview Sparrow taking on the riding part and ‘Bambi’ Cian Murphy taking on the running. Let’s just say he’s not called Bambi for nothing and with a leg in every county he managed to wing it through the waterjump to the hilarity of the whole stadium. It was a fantastic show – all the ponies and riders had some great rounds and there was a lot of laughs all week.
Well done to all the competitors and to the David Broome Event Centre for putting on another great event. Thanks also to coach, Tom Vance, for his help and assistance as always, and to our grooms for all their hard work.
